The 2018 Kakamega ASK Show was held at the Kakamega Showground from 14th to 16th June 2018. The show is always designed to cover various counties which include Kakamega, Busia Vihiga and Bungoma giving a great opportunity to the show attendants to get enlightened in diverse portfolios such as agriculture, entrepreneurship and in technology.
The show was officially opened by the Governor of Kakamega County Mr. Wycliffe Oparanya who emphasized this year show theme: “Promoting, Innovation, Technology in Agriculture and Trade.”
This year’s show had more than 48 exhibitors from the government and private sectors who had set up stands, from which, over 10,000 show attendants obtained useful information guided by this year’s theme, “Promoting Innovation Technology in Agriculture and Trade.”
JKUAT stand was exceptional, with the people of Kakamega being very receptive and appreciative of our products and services. At the stand, we had dedicated staff from different Departments ready to showcase various inquiries from various guests such as the school going children, farmers and entrepreneurs. The stand incorporated a live demo displaying the following: Tissue culture Bananas, Brick Maker, and ICT information especially Taifa Laptop assembly at our JKUAT industrial Park and all the courses offered at JKUAT Kakamega Campus. Our stand attracted a huge number of people who were interested to get more information on JKUAT unique products and services on display. For this reason JKUAT Kakamega CBD Campus received two prestigious awards during the show which include:
