Training on use of electronic books and journals for JKUAT Nakuru Campus

The JKUAT library has been conducting training on the use of e-resources in our various JKUAT campuses. Training in our Nakuru CBD campus is scheduled as follows 21st February 2014 – Undergraduates 22nd February 2014 – Postgraduates Objective of the training • to create awareness of electronic books and journals available for research • equip students with the necessary search skills for optimal use of the resources Post graduate students are particularly encouraged to attend.

Training on use of e-resources for Kakamega Campus

The JKUAT library will be conducting training on the use of e-resources at our Kakamega campus on 15th and 16th February 2014. The target group is all our JKUAT students and staff. The objective of the training is to create awareness of electronic books and journals available for research and equip students with the necessary search skills for optimal use of the resources. Post graduate students are particularly encouraged to attend.

Access to ScienceDirect e-books

The library has subscribed to electronic books from ScienceDirect. This is a rich database of electronic books in various fields including: Agricultural and biological sciences, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular biology, Biomedical science, medicine and dentistry, Chemistry, Computer science and Energy, Material science and Chemical engineering.
