JKUAT Library holds Departmental Meeting

The JKUAT Library held its first departmental meeting under the mantle of the new University Librarian, Dr Roselyne Man’gira on 27th August 2014. The University Librarian began by acknowledging that other departmental meetings have been held before. She appreciated the team spirit that is evident among the JKUAT library staff. The agenda of the meeting was largely to carry a self-evaluation of the library services in 2013/2014. Training on use of CABI information resources for JKUAT RUFORUM students

The JKUAT Library in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture held a workshop on the use of CABI resources on 21st August 2014 at the Faculty of Agriculture computer lab. The workshop was targeted at the first year RUFORUM students. JKUAT is one of RUFORUM’s 42 member institutions. The university has been given free access to e-resources courtesy of the JKUAT-RUFORUM collaboration. The students in attendance were drawn from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Burundi and Ethiopia. The RUFORUM programme is coordinated by Dr. Aggrey Adimo. Training on CABI resources

The JKUAT Library in collaboration with Faculty of Agriculture will be having a training on use of CABI information resources on 21st August 2014 at the faculty’s computer lab from 2.00pm. The target group is post graduate students and members of staff from the Faculty of Agriculture. Those in Applied Sciences Discipline are also welcome. The facilitator for the training will be David Onyango who is the publishing outreach officer for CABI.
