On behalf of the management, I am pleased to announce that we have filled our open positions of Deputy University Librarians. Mr. Jamleck Ngugi joins us as a Deputy University Librarian -Administration and Bibliographic Services (ABS) and Ms. Caroline Kimuna joins us as a Deputy University Librarian- Instruction and Information Services (IIS).

Mr. Ngugi has served in various capacities and in several institutions for the last 24 years. He has worked with Benedictine Monastery, Sigalagala Technical Training Institute ( now Sigalagala Polytechnic) and Kenya National Library Service. He has served as Senior Librarian in JKUAT and most recently he has been acting as Deputy University Librarian at JKUAT for the last two years before this appointment.

Ms. Caroline brings us 17years of experience working as Senior Librarian, the latest being at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, Arusha, Tanzania.

I trust that you both will find your new positions rewarding.

Thanks for joining me in welcoming the two colleagues to be a part of our team! We are looking forward to having a great team!

I also wish to take this opportunity to thank the University Management led by our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mabel Imbuga for approving the recruitment of the two Deputies, hence reducing my workload and pressure of work. This will give me more time to play my critical role of advising Schools, Faculties, Directors and look for more Library collaborations as I manage the Library.
