Library Electronic Registration

Registration of library users for the automated library services has commenced. The exercise is scheduled to take place from 14th to 21st May 2012. Continuing students are required to clear with the library by returning all borrowed books and surrendering all the five library cards. All our library users must fill registration forms available from the circulation counter in order to be registered in our new system.

  1. the electronic library registrarion was not done in a very open manner since most students still don’t know about t.
    I request an extention for application to this system

  2. Hi, I registered with the library but up to now I am not allowed to borrow any book! What might be the problem? Please help.

      Thanks for this suggestion. The library is working on availing past papers in soft copy. We will let you know as soon as this is done.

        l registered with off campus last semester and am yet to get the passwords of the databases, since the off campus site is an accessible.

        • Hi. We have now created campus specific accounts for off campus access. Please consult you campus librarian for your username and password

    Am a JKUAT student at ZETECH center and really need to get registered with you. How do i go about it?

  4. need the latest ONLINE JOURNAL DATABASES ACCESS DETAILS . i have the list for 2011 and many of the usernames and passwords do not work

    • Hi. Kindly provide your JKUAT staff or student email as this is the only mail we use for communication on our e-resources.

  6. I have been trying to register for student e-mail, but when i enter my registration number, i get the error message which says “e-mail details not found !!”. What could be the problem? and how will i get my student e-mail?

  7. I had written three other e-mails concerning the same problem, but to date i have not received any response.I am so disappointed.

    • Hi. Please note that the library does not deal with student emails. That is handled by ICT directorate. Kindly write to admin@students.jkuat.ac.ke. Please give me your Full names and registration number so i can forward this complaints to them.

    • Hi Bonifus. You can register as you wait for your id. To borrow books, you can use your admission letter for the time being and national id.

    • Hi Calvin. Sorry for that inconvenience. Kindly email admin@students.jkuat.ac.ke for any issues related to email activation as library does not manage student emails. Alternatively, visit the ICT directorate officers at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Technology (IEET Building)
