Acquisitions section

Special Collection and Postgraduate Research Section
  • Populating the JKUAT Institutional Repository
  • Guiding staff and students on recommended referencing and citation styles
  • Providing general guidance to staff and students in their research
  • Processing theses (Classification, cataloguing, labeling etc.)
  • Developing work related policies and manuals for the section
  • Liaising with the ICT Directorate to ensure that the JKUAT Institutional Repository is accessible
  • Conducting orientation programs to all first year postgraduate students in the university
  • Promoting and marketing of the JKUAT Institutional Repository
  • Liaising with schools and departments through the UL’s office for submission of research materials to be uploaded in the JKUAT Institutional Repository
  • Digitizing JKUAT print research output for uploading to the JKUAT Institutional Repository
Reference and Instructional Services Section
  • To cooperate with other library units by providing them with information about users
  • Uploading and dissemination of exam papers
