E-RESOURCES TRAINING FOR COETEC STAFF

E-resources training for COETEC staff was held on 25th February 2016 at the ICT lab in Technology house. The training is the last of a series of training workshops that the office of the DVC AA requested the library to organize for all academic staff. Ms. Grace Wairimu who is the chair, Mechatronic Department and Mr Elijah Musango Munyao, a lecturer from Marine Engineering Department were the coordinators for the day. Google Search Interfaces

The exponential growth of digital information has aptly been described as ‘information overload’, ‘floods of information’ and my favourite, ‘information explosion’. Commenting on the experience of searching for research information in Google, one of our library users captured it perfectly when she likened her search experience to drowning in the sea and still being left thirsty.
