TRAINING WORKSHOP ON THE USE OF E-RESOURCES FOR JKUAT STUDENTS AT KQ PRIDE CENTRE

The JKUAT Library in collaboration with KQ Pride Centre will be holding a training workshop on the use of e-books and e-journals for the PhD and MSc Students at the Centre on 11th and 18th April 2015 respectively. The program will start at 9.00am. The resource persons will be the University Librarian, Dr Roselyne Mang’ira, Mr. Richard Midigo who is the library’s Systems Librarian and Ms. Miriam Ndungu who heads the Digital Services Section.

Participants will be taken through basic and advanced search skills of different databases that JKUAT has subscribed to. Of great interest will be the remote access to the e-resources using the off campus access link. The link allows all our users to access all resources from whatever location they are at making it very convenient. Other aspects to be covered include access to thesis and dissertations, online services and resources available on the student portal, citation and referencing and publishing.
