Mr. Cyrus Chege Kamau is the Registrar in the Research, Production and Extension Division of JKUAT.
He holds M.Sc. degree in Cellular Parasitology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and B.Sc. degree in Zoology (Upper 2nd Class honour’s), of the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has published 13 papers on Leishmaniasis (Kala-azar) disease epidemiology and its vector (sand-fly) ecology.
His current research interests include the research continuum management, leishmaniasis and sand-fly research, biodiversity and Quality Management Systems based on ISO 9001:2008.
He is currently teaching ISO 9001:2008 quality management to the various categories of institutional staff (middle level, top management, support) and QMS auditing.
He has contributed to a book chapter on rearing of Phelebotomine sandflies.
He has been invited to give lecturers on Kala-azar in Laikipia District by the Nyahururu District Hospital, and in the department of Zoology, JKUAT.
He is currently a consultant in ISO 9001:2008 QMS training, implementation, documentation and auditing.
