Dr. Jane Ngethe, the Registrar of Pan African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI) and Ms.Sachiko Oda, the Project Coordinator of AFRICA-ai-JAPAN Project visited PAUGHSS in Yaoundé, Cameroon in mid-December 2018.
Pan African University Institute of Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences (PAUGHSS) is hosted by the University of Yaoundé II-SOA which welcomed its first batch of students in November 2012, comprising 80 students from 29 countries representing East, West, Central and Southern region of Africa.
PAUGHSS offers four MSc courses and two PhD courses in the area of Governance and Regional Integration and Conference Interpreting and Translation.
In PAUGHSS, they offer internship program for three months for MSc students in their 2nd year. Students engage in internship in NGO, International Organizations, and private sectors relevant to their course field.
Prof. Joseph Ebode Ntuda, the Director of PAUGHSS gave them a tour of their facilities. Graduation ceremony for the 3rd Cohort took place in Conference Centre in Yaounde on December 21, 2018.
