Ground Breaking Ceremony for Extension of Agricultural Laboratory Building

The Renovation and Extension of the Agricultural Laboratory Building (ALB) in Jomo Kenya University of Agriculture and Technology, which will accommodate classrooms, offices and laboratories to cater for the growing student population in the College of Agriculture (COANRE) is funded by JICA through the AFRICA-ai-JAPAN Project.

On October 8th, 2018, an official groundbreaking ceremony took place by the attendance of Prof. Hamadi Boga, the Principal Secretary for Agriculture and Research, Ministry of Agriculture, The Council Chair Prof. Paul Kanyari Njuki, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Victoria Ngumi, Deputy Vice Chancellors, the representatives from Embassy of Japan in Kenya and JICA Kenya Office.

Mr. Shinjiro Amameishi, Senior Representative from the JICA Kenya Office said that once the ALB is constructed, the learning and research environment will improve.
