JKUAT researcher team associated with the AFRICA- ai-JAPAN Project had a visit to Ecodudu Company on Wednesday, 30th July 2019. The team was drawn from the fields of; Agriculture, Engineering, Science and Biotechnology. The visit to Ecodudu Company was aimed at involving the researchers from JKUAT to solve problems experienced in production of animal feeds using the black soldier fly and to develop new product in the production system.
During the visit, various areas for collaboration were discussed with possibilities of research and development. The most appealing was automation of the production process and development of new product such as fertilizers and analysis of the products.
The two teams from JKUAT and Ecodudu Company will enhance private industries and the university linkage and involvement of JKUAT post graduate students in applied research to solve industrial problems.
