E-RESOURCES TRAINING FOR JKUAT NAKURU CBD CAMPUS

The JKUAT library in collaboration with the management of JKUAT Nakuru CBD Campus organized a two day e-resources training workshop for its students and members of staff on 18th and 19th July 2015. Similar workshops have been carried out in all the JKUAT campuses except Mombasa CBD, Kigali and Arusha Campuses. Plans to conduct the training in the remaining campuses are underway. JKUAT LIBRARY AND THEIR STUDENT AMBASSADORS PRESENT THE TROPHY FOR EMERALD STUDENT AMBASSADORS COMPETITION TO THE DVC AA

The JKUAT Library led by Dr. R. Mangira, the University Librarian, hosted Professor Romanus Odhiambo, the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs to a ceremony organized to present to him the trophy brought home by the library’s student ambassadors. The event took place on 16th July 2015 in the library boardroom. The student ambassadors who were adorned in Emerald branded Tshirts made the ceremony colorful. Pre-Conference Workshop Held at Kenyatta University on 13th and 14th July 2015

Kenyatta University hosted senior librarians from both public and private universities in Kenya together and faculty members of Kenyatta University’s Faculty of Education for a Pre-Conference workshop on Information Literacy and Ethics. The workshop was presided over by Prof. Mutula a Kenyan Don currently teaching at the University of Kwazulu- Natal in South Africa. Jomo Kenyatta University was represented by an able team from the university library headed by Dr. Roselyne Mangira, University Librarian (Library Services) together with Dr. George Gatero, University Librarian (Academic Programmes).
