Access to Springer e-books

In concurrence with our recent eBook purchase, SpringerLink has underwent a major platform renovation. Some of the main features of this renovation include a streamlined “Google-like” search box with the option of launching an “Advanced Search;” books now have a “Look inside” feature that allows you to read the chapter without downloading. Users are also able to share book information through social media sites.

The “Advanced Search” provides more filters/limits. Springer’s eBooks include abstracts for each book chapter. “Advanced Search” allows you to find books when you know the title and/or author or are looking for a particular subject. If you do not want to see records to which we do not have full text access, you can “deselect” the box for: “Include Preview Only content.” Once you have your search results, you can limit to only books or journal articles. You can also limit by language or narrow your search to a specific “Discipline,” “Subdiscipline” or journal.

You can also search for our Springer eBooks in the library’s online catalog ( by title and author. If you want to see all of our Springer eBook collection, you can search by SpringerLink and then limit by topic by selecting the topic of your choice from the list on the column on the left of the results page of our online catalogue. This filters out the springer e-books covering the selected topic. To get access to any of the books on the results page, click on the link click here to access online on the book record.
