JKUAT library partnered with the JKUAT e-Learning Department in celebrating their e-learning sensitization week that was held from 18th to 21st April 2011. The week was organized by the eLearning Department with the aim of raising awareness among academic staff and students on the resources the University has provided for eLearning implementation. The JKUAT library participated in the exhibition held at the graduation pavilion. The library used the opportunity provided by the eLearning Department to showcase the wealth of electronic resources that the library has provided access to. Among these resources are databases of electronic journals covering a wide array of subjects, electronic books (ebooks) from Taylor and Francis Publishers, ebrary which is a growing e-book collection spanning all academic subject areas, database of theses and dissertations done in and on Kenya available on http://www.researchkenya.org/ , electronic resources contained in various institutional repositories, links to several open resources (free e- resources) from organizations such as WHO, Bioline, BioMed Central, IMF, Public Library of Open Science. The library catalogue can also be accessed online via http://library.jkuat.ac.ke/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl. The JKUAT library also holds training on e-resources search skills.
