The JKUAT Library in collaboration with the Pan African University administration conducted a training on the use of e-resources targeting  PAUSTI students on 15th September 2015. The objectives of the training were to create awareness of the electronic books and journals available for their research and equip the students with requisite information search skills. The students were taken through advanced search strategies of electronic resources databases such as Taylor and Francis, Wiley Online Library, Science Direct and Springer. The training also covered access to thesis and dissertations from various Open Access Digital Repositories.

Access to ScienceDirect e-books

The JKUAT Library has subscribed to electronic books from ScienceDirect. This is a rich database of electronic books in various fields such as Agricultural and Biological sciences, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Medicine and Dentistry, Chemistry, Computer Science and Energy, Material science and Chemical Engineering. JKUAT Library/Elservier Publishers Workshop on Mendeley Reference Management Software

The JKUAT University library in collaboration with Elservier (Science Direct) Publishers will be holding a training workshop on Mendeley referencing and citation management software on 3rd February 2015 from 8.00am. The venue is the Statistics Computer Lab (New Science Complex). The workshop will be of great benefit to postgraduate students, lecturers and researchers.
