JKUAT, KARI, and KBC have started a collaboration and partnership to air Mkulima TV Program. All logistics and planning are in place according to Dr. David Kagima the JKUAT Coordinator for the program and also Principal Extension & Technology Transfer Officer.

The shooting of episodes will commence on March 21st, 2011, and will continue for two months in time for airing the first episode in June 2011. Agricultural practices will be the main focus with technologies including water harvesting, irrigation, postharvest losses of grain, greenhouse management, indigenous vegetables, bananas, dairy and milk production, dairy goats, beekeeping, social forestry and environment, indigenous chicken, rabbit keeping, cut flowers, tomatoes, rice, mushrooms, herbal medicine, sorghum, sustainable building technology, and eco-block making among many other technologies.

Inside the airing of each technology, frequently asked questions will be answered, value addition, and a profile segment for successful personalities in agriculture. The highlight of the Mkulima TV Program will be to sensitize the Kenyan community and especially the youth that agriculture can be fun, a life career, an income-generating industry, and business.
